Conveyor Belt
4mm White PU Conveyor Belt
The 4mm white PU conveyor belt is an ideal choice for automated conveying systems in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals,
and electronics due to its hygienic safety, wear resistance, durability, and ease of maintenance. When selecting a conveyor belt,
it should be configured appropriately based on specific operating conditions (such as temperature, load, speed, and cleaning frequency) to
achieve efficient and stable operation. For more detailed technical parameters (such as tensile strength, coefficient of friction, and hardness),

Key Features
1. Material and Hygiene
PU (Polyurethane): As the conveyor surface layer, it is a non-toxic, odorless, and food-grade material that does not easily breed bacteria,
meeting food contact safety standards such as the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) and EU (European Union).
Its white appearance makes it easy to observe contaminants and facilitates cleaning.
High-Strength Reinforcement Material: Typically made of polyester fiber cloth (EP) as the reinforcement, providing good tensile strength
and dimensional stability.
2. Physical Properties
Thickness: The 4mm thickness gives it both good load-bearing capacity and a certain degree of flexibility, making it suitable for various light to
medium-light applications.
Abrasion Resistance: The PU surface boasts excellent abrasion resistance, effectively resisting material friction and extending service life.
Oil and Hydrolysis Resistance: It exhibits good resistance to mineral oils, animal and vegetable oils, and certain levels of humidity,
and is not prone to aging.
Tear Resistance: Thanks to its robust fabric layer, it possesses good tear and impact resistance.
Flexibility and Processing: Easy to cut and join (typically using seamless ring splices or steel buckle joints),
accommodating smaller pulley diameters.
3. Surface Characteristics
Smooth and Flat: The standard white PU belt has a smooth surface, suitable for conveying packaged goods or dry bulk materials,
ensuring smooth transport.
Optional Patterns: Textured surfaces (such as diamond, grass, herringbone, etc.) can be customized upon request to increase friction,
prevent material slippage, or for use in lifting sections.
Core Application Areas:
Due to its clean and abrasion-resistant properties, 4mm white PU conveyor belts are widely used in the following industries:
1. Food processing industry (the primary sector).
Baking and Pastry: Conveying bread, biscuits, cakes, pies, etc.
Meat and Poultry Processing: Conveying packaged meat products; segmented conveying on slaughter lines.
Fruit and Vegetable Processing: Conveying washed or sorted fruits and vegetables.
Confectionery and Snacks: Conveying chocolate, candy, puffed snacks, etc.
Beverage Industry: Conveying bottled and canned beverages, as well as empty bottles/cans.
2. Packaging and Logistics Industry:
Express sorting lines, parcel conveyor lines.
Conveying and assembling boxes, cartons, and bags of goods.
Airport baggage handling systems (some light-load areas).
3. General Light Industrial Manufacturing:
Electronics and Appliances: Conveying mobile phones, computer components, small appliances, etc., preventing surface scratches.
Daily Chemicals: Conveying packaged finished products such as toothpaste, cosmetics, and detergents.
Tobacco Industry: Conveying cigarette boxes and cartons of cigarettes.
4. Special Application Scenarios.
Inspection Equipment: Used below metal detectors, X-ray machines, and checkweighers. Since it contains no metal,
it does not affect inspection accuracy.
Laboratory and Pharmaceutical Applications: For conveying raw materials or packaging materials with high cleanliness requirements
(must confirm compliance with relevant industry standards).
Selection Considerations:
Load and Tension: The required belt strength must be calculated based on the total weight and linear speed of the conveyed items to
ensure that a 4mm specification meets the requirements.
Environmental Conditions: Although hydrolysis resistant, specially formulated PU is still required for long-term exposure to high temperature
and humidity or strong acid/alkali environments.
Friction Requirements: If conveying materials on slopes or with a risk of backflow, a patterned version should be selected.
Joint Type: Seamless endless belts offer the smoothest operation and are easy to clean; steel buckle joints are convenient for installation
and replacement, but may not be suitable for very small rollers or applications with extremely high cleanliness requirements.
